# GitHub Apps Permission Update for Upcoming Autofix Feature

We have updated the permissions for the Write GitHub Apps.

Repository permissions for **Contents** has been changed from **Read-only** to **Read and write**.

## Background

In the upcoming [**Autofix** feature](https://flatt.tech/takumi/features/auto_fix), Takumi will automatically create pull requests to fix security issues. This capability requires write access to repository contents.

## Required Action

No action is required at this time.

If you plan to use the Autofix feature after its release, approving the permission update request in advance will allow you to use the feature immediately upon release. The permission update request has been sent via email to the user who installed the GitHub Apps, so please check your inbox.
